Their Toowoomba Modification Department is home to 30 skilled tradespeople, including Technicians, Auto Electricians, Boilermakers, and Spray Painters. With more than 25 years in the industry and strong national growth since 2018, they’re a respected name in the heavy vehicle space.
About the Role:
As a Heavy Vehicle Fitter Assistant, you’ll support qualified tradespeople in the fitout and modification of heavy vehicles. You’ll work on real trucks and components—learning practical skills in a supportive, well-equipped environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fit accessories and components to heavy vehicles
- Assist tradespeople with mechanical installations and modifications
- Follow clear workshop procedures and safety protocols
- Keep tools and equipment organised and well-maintained
- Mechanical experience—light vehicle, auto electrical, accessory fitting or similar
- Competency with tools and workshop equipment
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a team environment
- Reliable, safety-minded, and committed to quality work
- Higher earning potential than most entry-level or light vehicle roles
- Real exposure to the heavy vehicle industry—without committing to an apprenticeship
